Sidecar Bar

"The Sidecar is what I’d call an elevated dive bar — relaxed, welcoming, and unpretentious, but with drinks that are seriously well made. The bartender is a true mixologist who clearly understands technique. She made me a fantastic Manhattan! They also have an impressive list of local beers. Outside is a food cart that’s worth the trip all by itself. We ordered the smashburger and it was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The chef brings everything in fresh daily (no freezer), the fries are hand-cut, and there are something like 20 different sauces to try with them. The people here are friendly, the vibe is easygoing, and the quality of both the cocktails and food is outstanding. If you’re visiting San Diego, it’s absolutely worth a trolley ride to get here. This easily ranks among my top five dive bars anywhere."

"They only offer burgers so if you like burgers then by all means, enjoy yourself. The service was great bartenders were polite and attentive. The atmosphere is cool not very diverse but still chill. Overall I enjoyed myself having drinks and watching basketball."
