DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Diego - Mission Valley

"First time visit to this establishment. As I was here to attend a training event, I am rating my experience pertinent to the use of their meeting rooms. I attended a USCCA defensive dry fire training course, held at one of the meeting rooms of the hotel. This DoubleTree Hotel is easy to access from all locations and right off the freeway. It is also located next to a shopping mall and several restaurants. The hotel provides a parking garage for a moderate daily fee, although there is ample free parking nearby for patrons of the shopping mall businesses. Upon entering the hotel lobby, I immediately took in the tasteful and welcoming decor and lighting, high ceilings and soothing lightly aromatic filtration. The overall ambiance was quite pleasant! Reception staff were cordial and prompt. There were clearly marked directional signage providing a direct route to the meeting rooms. Definitely a great location for anyone wanting to reserve a meeting/conference room."

"Very solid 3-star hotel in great location and unbeatable value at its price point. Our room on the fifth floor had a nice balcony with city views. Room was decently modern for a 3-star hotel, AC worked well, and service was amazing. Warm chocolate chip walnut cookies (ask at front desk) were wonderful. Small nitpicky things - $2/bottle of water with only 1 water fountain in the hotel in the gym, sliding bathroom door instead of one that shuts entirely, and no fan in bathroom. Overall, would highly recommend."

"The staff at this hotel is fantastic. They go way above what you expect. Renee along with Jack at the front desk, was super helpful and very attentive to our needs. This hotel is located in the middle of La Jolla in San Diego very convenient to everything. We ate breakfast the next morning at "The Windows" restaurant. "Sir" Charles our waiter was fantastic and super friendly. The chef, Shakira S. and the head cook, Ulisis, came out and introduced themselves. We had The Omelette, wheat toast and potatoes and it was amazing. Highly recommend this hotel because of the staff and experience."
