San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter

"Exceptional Service Across the Board – A Business Travel Gem! I recently stayed at the Alma San Diego for a five-night business trip, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience. From the moment I arrived until the moment I checked out, the care and service from every single department were absolutely amazing. As a business traveler, the logistics of a week-long stay can sometimes be stressful, but the team here made everything seamless: Valet & Doormen-Always prompt, incredibly welcoming, and ready to help with a smile, no matter how early or late I was coming and going. Reception-Professional, efficient, and genuinely attentive during check-in and throughout my stay. Housekeeping- Impeccable attention to detail. Coming back to a pristine, perfectly refreshed room after a long day of work was a daily highlight. Food Service & Bar-Exceptional quality and fantastic hospitality. Whether grabbing a quick bite or unwinding at the bar, the staff made me feel right at home. It is rare to find a hotel where every single department hits a home run, but the Alma San Diego team does it effortlessly. They truly understand hospitality. I will absolutely be staying here again on my next trip to the area!"

"**I heard the hotel will be going through a MUCH needed renovation. So the purpose of this review is for the service only** I recently stayed at this property during San Diego Comic Con 2026. I love the ease and location of this hotel but more importantly, I wanted to highlight the helpfulness of front desk employee, Christian N. This is my hubby and I's 4th stay here during the crazy week that is Comic Con. Christian greeted us warmly and went above and beyond to accommodate my hubby when I sent him down to the front desk with what seemed like an impossible request. But Christian quickly put my hubby at ease and went to work to make his request a reality. Let's just say that Christian sent my hubby back to me a "hero" cause i got my wish. Employee's like Christian make the decision to choose Marriott Gaslamp each and every year a no brainer. Thank you again for making our week memorable and carefree. I also want to give credit to the amazing staff at the Concierge Lounge. Thank you for greeting us everyday with a warm smile and yummy food."

"I booked a room for a weekend in Dec 2025 and I liked the experience from the front desk personnel. The view was nice at night. I liked the option to take a walk to places nearby. I only would have wanted the room not to have a smell. Maybe if they could provide some room spray just in case. I would definitely be coming back to this hotel for a three day weekend."
